Different types of racks have distinct characteristics. High-level racks are characterized by good assembly, high load capacity, and strong stability. They are made of cold-rolled and hot-rolled steel plates. Corridor racks are designed for storing a large amount of similar palletized goods, also known as aisle-free racks. Pallets are stored one after another in the depth direction on support rails, increasing storage density and improving space utilization. This type of rack is commonly used in situations where storage space is expensive, such as refrigerated warehouses. Corridor racks have four basic components: frame, rail support, pallet rail, and diagonal braces. This type of rack has a high warehouse utilization rate and can achieve first-in, first-out (FIFO) or first-in, last-out (LIFO) storage. It is suitable for storing large quantities of goods with few varieties, and for batch operations. It can provide maximum storage capacity with minimal space. It is suitable for storing goods in large quantities with few varieties. Forklifts can drive directly into the aisle for goods retrieval and storage, making the operation extremely convenient.

Racking machinery equipment requirements: Counterbalanced forklifts or stacker cranes. Racking characteristics: Suitable for storage with low inventory flow; provides 20%-30% selectivity; used in warehouses with low pick rates. Ground utilization rate: 60%, relatively high (subject to the aforementioned design calculations). Beam racking is the most popular and economical type of racking, safe and convenient, suitable for various warehouses, and allows for direct storage and retrieval of goods. It is the simplest and most widely used racking type. It fully utilizes space. It adopts a convenient pallet storage and retrieval method, effectively cooperating with forklift loading and unloading, greatly improving operational efficiency. Machinery equipment requirements: Counterbalanced forklifts or stacker cranes. Stacker cranes can increase ground space utilization by 30%, with an operating height of over 16 meters. Beam racking features smooth inventory turnover and provides 100% selection capability, improving average pick rates. The racking provides high-quality product protection. Ground utilization rate: 31%. Gravity racking: Compared to ordinary pallet racking, it does not require operating aisles, thus increasing space utilization by 60%; pallet operations follow the first-in, first-out (FIFO) principle; automatic storage rotation; the separation of storage and picking actions greatly improves throughput, as the goods slide due to gravity and there are no operating aisles, reducing the number of transport routes and forklifts. On the aisles of each layer of the racking, guide rails with a certain slope and tracks are installed, allowing the stored unit goods to flow from the storage end to the retrieval end under the influence of gravity. In such warehouses, there are no operating aisles between rows, greatly improving warehouse area utilization. However, when in use, it is best to ensure that the goods on the same row and the same layer are the same or are stored and retrieved simultaneously. The layer height is adjustable, and with various models of forklifts or stacker cranes, rapid storage and retrieval of various pallets can be achieved. The maximum load capacity of a unit storage bin can reach 5000kg, making it the most commonly used storage method in various industries.

Loft-style racks are suitable for situations where space is limited, varieties are numerous, and quantities are small. They can increase the utilization rate several times on the existing site and can be operated with the use of lifts. The fully modular structure, coupled with dedicated lightweight steel flooring, results in low cost and fast construction. It can be flexibly designed into two-tier, multi-tier configurations according to the actual site and needs, making full use of space. Cantilever racks are suitable for storing long materials and irregular goods. The protruding cantilever has a lightweight structure and good load-bearing capacity. When storing irregular or particularly long materials, it can significantly improve the utilization rate of the warehouse and work efficiency. With the addition of shelves, it is particularly suitable for small, low-height warehouses, offering convenient management, wide visibility, and higher utilization compared to ordinary shelf-style racks.
